Mail Pieces

Your mail piece should be effective, not only visually for your audience, but it also needs to be deliverable. Postal regulations include specific parameters for size, weight, color and content, as well as other aspects of composition. Thus, you should plan ahead and contact Keith Doss at ext. 5747, for consultation on piece design before you send it to print. WPBDC works closely with Printing Services to ensure that your mail piece is designed to meet postal standards.

Some of the more important areas of a mail piece are discussed below:

  • Addressing - process of applying addresses to the mail piece
  • Inserting - process of inserting documents into an envelope
  • Folding - process of folding documents or mail pieces
  • Tabbing - process of applying a tab to a mail piece
